Spam filtering
Quarantine junk leads on arrival with your own conditions, and release the false positives.
Each pipeline has its own intake spam filter. Open the canvas → Intake → Reject spam, build your conditions, Save filter. The header shows how many conditions are active.
A lead matching the filter is quarantined: stored with the status spam, never distributed, never billed, and not counted toward your plan's monthly lead quota. The supplier still gets a normal 200 — you don't advertise your filter to whoever is sending the junk.
Writing the conditions
The editor is the one you use for routing rules: pick a field, an operator, a value or list of values, combine with AND/OR groups. An empty filter matches nothing.
Conditions run on reception, on the raw values, before normalization — you write them against what suppliers actually send. Typical ones:
emailcontainstest@/@mailinator.com/example.comfirstNameis in a list of the obvious fakes (asdf, test, aaa)phoneis in a list of the numbers a supplier keeps re-sendingzipis00000
Seeing why a lead was caught
Open the lead. The Flagged as spam card names each condition that matched — field, operator, expected value — and outlines the offending inputs below. Those matches are stored with the lead, so the reason stays accurate even after you change the filter.
Handling a false positive
On that same card:
- Edit the offending value inline if it was a formatting accident, then Save changes.
- Click Approve & send (shortcut
A). The filter is re-run on the current data; if the lead no longer matches, it goes straight into normal distribution. - If it still matches, LeadMove asks you to confirm — approving anyway is an explicit override, not a silent bypass.
Reject (shortcut R) is the other option: a final decision, no distribution.
Then fix the filter itself, or the next identical lead is caught again.
Common questions
Does a spam lead cost me anything? No. It never reaches a buyer, so it's never billable, and it doesn't consume your monthly lead quota.
Is there an automatic spam detection? The intake filter is entirely yours — it only does what your conditions say. Separately, every lead gets a quality score and grade you can route on; a low score isn't spam, it's a lower-value lead.
Should I quarantine or just not buy from that supplier? Both are valid, and the filter gives you the evidence: the matched conditions on each quarantined lead are what you show the supplier.
Why doesn't my condition on a normalized value match?
Because the filter sees raw values. Write the condition against the raw form (for example contains on a fragment) instead of an exact normalized value.
Do quarantined leads count in my stats? They're stored and visible in the Leads list under the spam status, but they never appear as routed, delivered or billed leads.
