Email template library
Save a delivery email you like, start new buyers from it, and push it to buyers you already have.
Design one email properly, then reuse it. Save as template keeps a copy of the subject and the body; Start from a template drops that copy into another buyer's email method; Apply to other buyers… pushes it to several at once.
The Templates menu sits at the top of the email editor, in the Custom layout and Custom HTML modes. Automatic generates its own email and Plain text is left as it is, so neither has a body to save.
Save as template
Saves the subject and the body exactly as they are on screen, under a name you choose. Up to 100 templates per account.
Two ways in, one form: the Templates menu at the top, and a Save as template… button in the foot of the editor — next to the block or size counter, where you are standing when you have just finished building.
Include the design (logo, colour, footer) appears when the delivery method carries its own design, and is ticked by default: buyers you start from this template then wear that design instead of your account's branding. Untick it to save the layout alone. A template with no design of its own leaves each buyer on whatever branding they already have.
Recipients are never saved. To, Cc, Bcc and the sending domain belong to the buyer, not to the design.
Start from a template
Loads a copy into the editor you have open. Nothing is written until you press Save on that delivery method, so you can load one, look at it, and walk away.
In Custom layout, an email method with no blocks yet offers it right in the empty state — a new buyer goes from nothing to your house style in two clicks.
A template that carries a design shows a dot in its colour next to its name in the picker, and own design in its line.
Starters
The picker opens on three starters, above your own templates, so the library is never empty on a new account:
| Starter | What it gives you |
|---|---|
| Standard lead alert | The automatic email, as blocks you can move and rename. |
| Compact | One table, every field, no intro — for buyers who skim. |
| Detailed handoff | An intro line, your fields grouped, then the delivery details. |
Starters carry no design: they inherit your account's branding, like every email does by default. They are built from this buyer's own fields the moment you open the picker, so every merge code in one resolves on this delivery method — and adding an Expected field shows up in them straight away. A buyer with no fields at all has no starters to build; the blank canvas is still there.
Apply to other buyers…
Copies the subject and the body into the email methods you tick, in one go. The dialog lists every other email delivery method in your account, grouped by buyer, and the endpoint you are editing is never in the list.
Next to each one it names the merge codes that buyer's Expected fields cannot resolve. A template written for a solar buyer applied to an insurance buyer produces blank lines in a real email; the warning is there so you either untick that buyer or go and add the field first. Codes like {{lead_id}}, {{pipeline}} and {{email}} resolve on every buyer and are never flagged.
To, Cc, Bcc and the sending domain are left untouched on every target, and so is whatever those buyers wrote in the other modes — a buyer who had a Plain text body still has it if they switch back. The design goes across when the one you are applying has its own; when it does not, each target keeps the branding it already wears.
Templates are copies, not links
Editing a template later changes nothing that is already set up. Applying it to a buyer copies it in and the two stop being related; editing that buyer's email does not touch the template either.
That is deliberate. A live link would turn a one-word edit on a template into a silent change of production email at every buyer using it — and you would find out from the buyer.
Common questions
Can I share a template between accounts? No. Templates belong to one account, like buyers and pipelines.
I applied a template to the wrong buyer. Open that buyer's delivery method and pick the mode it had before — every mode keeps its own body, so the words that were there are still there. If it was in Automatic, switch it back and nothing else needs undoing.
Does applying a template send anything? No. It changes the configuration of those delivery methods; the next lead they receive uses the new design.
Why can't I save an Automatic email as a template? Automatic has no body to copy — it is generated from each buyer's Expected fields and your brand settings. To share a design across buyers, build it in Custom layout.
Email deliveries and sender domains
The branded lead email a buyer receives, the merge codes that fill it in, and sending it from your own domain.
Retries and deferrals
What happens between "routed" and "delivered" — automatic retries on failure, deliveries held outside a buyer's hours, and how to cancel one.
